They are very good at camouflage with cement, bark, and other rough surfaces. Among the live jumping spiders that I've studied, I can say this one is a runner. Capturing a photo of one is such a challenge, much more if you want to photograph it on a black paper (like the one I did above). In that series of photographs, only one turned out to be in focus.
